We observe Juneteenth by setting aside an entire day for organizational learning, discussion, and taking action on the history and current realities of systemic racial injustice.

External Trainings

We've partnered with Northwestern University and Cornell University allowing internal members to receive DEI certificates. Since then we have applied these insights to our work within our organization and with client partners.

Introduction to Systemic Racism Workshop

We also attend an Introduction to Systemic Racism Workshop - facilitated by ERACCE (Eliminating Racism and Creating/Celebrating Equity). This training is for those who understand multicultural diversity, but are not yet familiar with systemic racism.

Transformative Initiatives

Multiplying an inclusive culture through teams and organizations ensures everyone knows their presence matters and their contributions make a positive impact. These are two transformative initiatives we have taken that undoubtedly promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We collaborated with the Be a Coffee Bean Foundation and Louisiana Department of Corrections Education Department to interview candidates for their Mister Coffee Bean program, which prepares Black men who are incarcerated for careers in teaching upon reentry into the community. Through our interviews, we identified those with the strongest teaching talents which enabled the foundation and education dept. to invest in those most likely to succeed in this career and make a positive impact on future generations of urban students who need positive role models who look like them in the classroom. Moving forward we will expand this partnership to more states and their Departments of Correction.
